2024 SLAM Summer Classic: Rosters & what to know

A year after Cooper Flagg stunned basketball fans with his buzzer-beating finish at Rucker Park, some of the biggest stars of boys and girls high school basketball hope to create another instant classic on the famed New York City court this Wednesday as part of the SLAM Summer Classic Vol. 6 presented by NBA2K25.
Looking to top last year’s epic finish is a collection of 28 players, featuring talent that might be even more star-studded than a year ago.
For those in New York City, doors are scheduled to open at Rucker Park for the event at 4 p.m. ET. The girls’ game is set to get underway at 5 p.m. ET, followed by the boys’ game, which will tip at approximately 7 p.m. ET.
However, those who can’t attend can watch it by streaming the games on the NBA App for the second consecutive year.
For the boys’ game, some of the top players expected to play include AJ Dybantsa (No. 1 in ESPN’s ranking of the top 100 players in the recruiting class of 2025), Caleb Wilson (ranked No. 5 in 2025), Chris Cenac (ranked No. 6 in 2025), Meleek Thomas (ranked No. 7 in 2025), Nate Ament (ranked No. 8 in 2025) and Brayden Burries (ranked No. 11 in 2025).
The sons of some of the biggest superstars in the history of basketball are also set to play.
Among that group is Kiyan Anthony, the son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, who’s ranked No. 40 in ESPN’s rankings. Jacob Wilkins, the son of Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins, ranks No. 43 in 2025 and is also set to play.
Forward Miikka Muurinen is also on the rise. He’s seen his profile skyrocket this past week after delivering a signature performance in the Nike EYBL Peach Jam final less than a week ago.
Another notable player scheduled to play in the boys’ game is TikTok star Jake West.
Of these prospects, only Wilkins has verbally committed to a school as he will head to Georgia, his father’s alma mater.
The girls’ game, which precedes the boys’ game, may boast just as much star power.
Some of the top girls players in the game will be Aaliyah Chavez (No. 1 in ESPN’s HoopGurlz recruiting rankings), Jerzy Robinson (No. 1 in the class of 2026), Sienna Betts (ranked No. 2 in 2025), Olivia Vukosa (ranked No. 2 in 2026), along with Aaliyah Crump (ranked No. 4 in 2025)
Additionally, 2025 top 10 prospects Agot Makeer and Grace Knox will participate and only Crump (Texas) and Betts (UCLA) have verbally committed to a program.
